We've just finished up our Families Unit in social studies this week. I put this unit together last year because I needed more resources to teach the social studies standards relating to families. This year I was able to fully implement each piece in my Families Unit.
I really enjoy this unit in social studies because it allows me to get to know my students and their families better. My kids love it because... well, who doesn't like to share about themselves?!
Here we are working on our final project - our timelines. My class had so much fun with this project this year! They loved sharing their timelines and the important events in their lives.
