I am a first grade teacher in a suburb of Syracuse, NY. This is my 12th year of teaching! Prior to first grade I taught second, third, and fourth grade. When I began teaching first grade I knew I was home. First grade is where my heart is! Seeing the excitement in my young learner's faces is the best feeling in the world. There is so much growth throughout first grade and it is such a critical year. I feel so blessed to be a part of shaping so many little lives.

ReplyDeleteColleen, I so agree with your feelings for first. My blog is My Heart Belongs in First. It is such a magical year. It is amazing to watch them grow into readers and writers in such a short period of time! Not to mention how MUCH they love us! I am your 73rd follower. You are almost at 100!
