Families - A Social Studies Unit

I was productive this weekend - WAHOO!!!

My creative juices were flowing and I made a Families Unit for social studies.  I have been struggling to find resources that I liked to teach about families, so I knew I would be better off just creating my own!

Included in this unit:
Read Aloud Suggestions
Can / Have / Are Chart
Family Portrait Page
My Family is Special - Writing Activity
Family Tree Template
My Family Tradition - Writing Activity
My Family Vacation - Writing Activity
My Family Rules Activity
My Family Responsibility - Writing Activity
My Family Helps - Writing Activity
Timeline Project Directions and Parent Letter

Interested in snagging a copy for free?!  Leave me some bloggy love (before midnight tonight) telling me something you enjoy doing with YOUR family!  I'll choose one winner, so be sure to leave your email address and you might find something waiting for you in your inbox in the morning...

Happy Sunday!!!

  7. Our family consists of 5 boys ages 11-20 who are all heavily involved in sports. To spark their interest in reading/writing/math, I post a daily Question or Word Problem of the Day on the refrigerator (their favorite appliance) and they answer it on the dry erase board. I try to make these relate to their lives and activities. They love it, and I actually get some very creative answers!
